Maj-Lis Nash, LMT
Co-Owner and Director of Education
Maj-Lis is the co-owner and Director of Education at MBI as well as a senior instructor. A 1997 graduate of ITMM (now MBI) she ran her own massage therapy clinic and taught for ITMM from 2001 until 2007 when she purchased ITMM with her husband, Daryl, and renamed it Mind Body Institute. In 2003 Daryl and her opened the Mind/Body Connection, a massage supply store and continuing education center that operates along side MBI now. An AMTA member since 1997, she volunteers at both the state and national level, and served at the AMTA TN chapter president for 7 years. Maj-lis currently teaches our classes in CPR and TN Laws & Rules.
Daryl Nash, B.A.
Co-Owner and Executive Director
Daryl is the co-owner and executive director of MBI. He holds a degree in English from The University of Tennessee. Since 2003, he has managed the massage supply retail store and continuing education provider the Mind/Body Connection. Affectionately known as our IT guy he keeps MBI running smoothly from day to day.
Randy Cotterell, LMT
Financial Aid Administrator
Randy worked as the Cash Control Lead for Dollywood for over ten years before training as a massage therapist and opening his own establishment in Sevierville. He has also served as the Treasurer of AMTA-TN since 2008. With his move to Middle Tennessee, Randy joined MBI in Financial Aid.
Amy E. Dotson, LMT
Amy is a graduate of ITMM (MBI) and has been a practicing massage therapist since 2003. Along with completing a 200 hour yoga instructor certification program, Amy has chosen to concentrate her continuing education courses in pathology, Eastern theory, nutrition, and yoga. She currently teaches our classes in pathology, anatomy and physiology.
Amanda Parker, LMT
Mandi studied elementary education at Western Kentucky University, but after discovering a love for massage, studied at ITMM (now MBI) in 2004. Since gaining her licensure, she has provided massage in a variety of settings. Her continuing education has focused on techniques for the thoracic and cervical spine. Since 2005, Mandi has worked with the Mind/Body Connection as an LMT and continuing education instructor. Mandi has served on the board of the Tennessee chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association since 2008, and served at president in 2014 & 2015. In 2008, she joined MBI as an instructor, teaching business, ethics, massage law, prenatal and infant classes and the occasional palpation class.
Amy Grimes, LMT
In 2006, Amy left her corporate job in non-profit to help people one-on-one with massage therapy. Her private practice focuses on gentler modalities including Lymphatic Drainage, oncology massage, hydrotherapy and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS). In 2013 she opened Tennessee's first float tank center, Float Nashville. Amy teaches our Lymphatic classes.
Dr. Cory G. Crowley, D.C.
Cory graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2004. He owns and operates Sumner Chiropractic Clinic in two locations, Goodlettsville and Hendersonville, TN. Cory is a part-time instructor in Anatomy, Physiology, Muscle Testing and Biomechanics for MBI.
Brent Harris, LMT
Brent has been practicing massage therapy since graduating from MBI in 2008. He completed almost 200 hours of additional training in Travell and Simons' Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction in 2013. He currently operates his own private practice. He teaches the Clinical Concepts course that he helped develop with Maj-Lis Nash.
Sarah Jane Chapman, RYT-200, LMT
Originally from Upstate New York, Sarah Jane is so happy to have Nashville be her home. She has been teaching yoga since 2012, when she studied at Rishikesh Yog Peeth in Rishikesh, India. After wanting to deepen her knowledge of the body and add increase her skill set, Sarah Jane studied massage at MBI. She has been a practicing massage therapist since graduation in 2015. She teaches Yoga and Eastern Studies.
Molly Robinson, LMT
Molly is a graduate of Mind Body Institute (MBI) and has been practicing since her graduation in February 2015. Before MBI, Molly graduated from Belmont University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a minor in nutrition. During her undergraduate work she worked as a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and a dance teacher. She currently works as a massage therapist with Nashville Sports Massage as a lead therapist and the Tennessee Titans as part of their medical staff. When not working as a massage therapist, Molly teaches ballet and tap classes for Rejoice School of Ballet.
Blake Mundell, LMT
Originally from Colorado, Blake moved to Nashville in 2007. He is a graduate of Belmont University and Mind Body Institute, and now specializes in sports massage and Fascial Stretching Therapy, working with pro athletes of various kinds. The 2017 football season marks his fourth year on the medical staff of the Tennessee Titans. When he isn't working, you’re likely to find Blake hopping around Nashville’s beach volleyball circuits or playing at your favorite local music venue.
