Through the use of isometric and isotonic techniques we can facilitate the relxation of hypertonic (tense) muscles while encouraging the toning of those with less tone (hypotonic). By enlisting the active participation of the client we can assist the self-correction of postural imbalances and chronic pain patterns, and gently create significant and long-lasting change.

Luann Overmyer has over 40 yrs experience with Ortho-Bionomy® and has trained and taught extensively in the field of body awareness, structural balance and wellbeing throughout the US, Australia, and other countries thoughout the world. She is the author of the book Ortho-Bionomy: A Path to Self-Care that has already been translated into several languages. She is an amazing teacher with an incredible depth of knowlege and experience. Her classes are engaging, informative, termendously practical and really a lot of fun. You will leave with skills that you can use immediately in your practice.
Erin Long is an Advanced Practitioner and Associate Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy®. She discovered Ortho-Bionomy in her own healing process. The long hours of sitting as a professinal violinist, decades of running, and the general accumulation of life impacted the health of her low back. Ortho-Bionomy gave Erin relief from her chronic pain and provided stability to her structure, it is now her passion. In 2014 she shifted her professional emphasis to the study of Ortho-Bionomy. Erin's sensitivity, creativity, and receptive nature helps her adapt to clients and students alike on their own path of discovery and the wondrous healing power of the body.
