Course Description:
This 2-day workshop (16 CE) helps massage professionals gain clarity between stress, trauma, and PTSD/PTSI. It provides an in-depth look into the power of a ‘healthy touch’ and its impact on
trauma survivors. Participants will learn to anticipate and treat triggers of PTSD episodes,
This 2-day workshop (16 CE) helps massage professionals gain clarity between stress, trauma, and
PTSunderstand their role and scope of practice in the healing process, and get hands-on time with the techniques in instructor-monitored sessions. The lecture will discuss clinical Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) taken from the DSM-V and how it shows up on a massage table and in life. Attendees will explore how a ‘healthy touch’ can facilitate change in the client’s tissues, empower the client to be part of the healing process and grow their understanding of     listening, assessing, and treating stress and PTSD. This workshop provides a fully clothed, trauma-informed, patient-centered approach to treating trauma/PTSD/PTSI through healthy-touch bodywork.

     Matthew Howe is a licensed massage therapist with offices in Ohio and Florida. With 23 years of experience in massage therapy, he has established himself as an innovative therapist and educator. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Matthew developed a passion for helping others. He attended the Central Florida School of Massage Therapy. He later returned as an instructor, which helped him hone his skills and expertise.

     Matthew's work has been recognized and celebrated by the massage community. He is a
highly respected educator known for creating learning experiences that are patient-centered and
results-focused, classes like Bodywork for PTSD and Integrative Craniosacral Therapy. He is a
published author and subject matter expert.

     Matthew passionately facilitates and assists people in reducing stress's impact. Through his work and personal pursuits, Matthew inspires others to help humans human better. He has become a role model for therapists that wish to operate with integrity. He is excited to continue supporting others to live life with resiliency.
