Course Description:
Take a two-day journey through the multi-faceted modality of Thai Massage. At the end of this course you will be able to demonstrate a full-body selection of Thai Massage techniques that have been adapted for table bodyworkers including: a basic Thai foot reflexology treatment, sen line acupressure for the arms and legs, a detailed, lower body stretch sequence and a shoulder mobilization series.
You will use your hands, thumbs, elbows and feet to apply table Thai Massage techniques with the client clothed in supine and side lying positions. You will also be able to identify Thai Massage as a holistic healthcare treatment and a branch of Traditional Thai Medicine, practice Thai Yoga self-care exercises and share a neck and shoulder treatment with yoru partner using Thai herbal balm.
Tuition includes a manual with photos and use of the Thai herbal balms in class. All levels welcome, beginner-friendly. Prerequisites: LMT
Therapists positions used: standing with one foot or both feet on the floor, sitting on the edge of the table, sitting and kneeling on the table behind the client whi is sitting on the edge of the table.

SUPPLY LIST:
One linen/sheet set (fitted, flat, and face rest cover), Pen, notebook. Wear loose comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in, shoes you can slip on to quickly enter and exit the training room during practice. We recommend socks and sweater in case you get cold.

Charlene has been a licensed massage therapist for 21+ years and has over 18 years of teaching experience in both entry-level and continuing education enviroments. She is a regisered instructor with the Thai Healing Alliance International, a Certificated Massage and Bodywork Educator with AFMTE and the founder/curriculum specialist for Elevate Massage Training. She has studied Thai massage and ashiatsu extensively with many reputable teachers in the US and Thailand and has led annual Thailand Study Tours for LMT's since 2016.
Approved in TN, AL, GA, FL, IN, MO, and all states that accept the NCBTMB credential (AP# 451520-10). MS Approved Provider, Presenter and Program MAP#92, Program #898
